Over the years, Vaillant has built a solid reputation for its performance, quality and reliability. However, we wouldn’t want you to just take our word for it. Here’s everything you need to know before committing to a brand new Vaillant boiler…
Reasons to get a Vaillant boiler
Which? Best Buy Award
Vaillant were first accredited with the Which? Best Buy Award in 2008, and just this year (2019) has again received the sought-after accolade for the whole range of ecoTEC boilers.
The Which? independent research even found that Vaillant boilers are the most popular choice amongst boiler engineers. 177 boiler engineers were surveyed and Vaillant came out on top.
German heritage, made in Britain
German technology is widely known to be robust, reliable and reputable. So, Vaillant is in good company, as world famous brands like Mercedes Benz, BMW and SAP are all headquartered in Germany.
However, Vaillant also now have a factory in Belper, Derbyshire, UK, where it manufactures energy efficient heating systems and employs hundreds of Brits.
Quiet Mark approved
Vaillant boilers are among some of the only boilers to receive the Quiet Mark approval. Since 2014, the whole ecoTech boiler range has received the coveted mark.
The Vaillant ecoTec range noise level is 49 decibels (dB), in comparison to the Worcester Bosch Green Star 25i which sits at around 53 dB. For context, a fridge’s noise level is around 40 dB, rainfall 50 dB, and a washing machine is 70dB.
There are only a few other models of boilers that have received the Quiet Mark approval. Find out more about the quietest boilers on the market in our dedicated blog.

Vaillant Boiler repairs
As with any piece of technology, there may be trouble shooting that’s needed from time to time. Most issues with boilers occur during the winter months, after heating systems have been switched off over the summer.
However, we only work with Gas Safe Engineers, so we’ve got you covered through our subscription service, if anything ever goes wrong.
Vaillant also offer advice for dealing with any issues that may arise at home, such as a simple guide on how to defrost a frozen condensate pipe. This can happen during extremely cold weather to any type of boiler, but it’s pretty simple to fix.
What’s better: Vaillant or Worcester Bosch?
Vaillant and Worcester Bosch both provide top of the range boilers and heating technology. And both brands offer boilers for all types of homes that are energy efficient and A-rated.
While we recommend both of these boilers, if you value quietness over everything else, then you may want to go with a Vaillant. It is one of only a handful of brands to boast the Quiet Mark Approval.
Vaillant may also come out on top with their focus on sustainability, but if the boiler aesthetic is what’s most important to you, then the Worcester Bosch may just edge it with their modern Greenstar Lifestyle design.
Ultimately, we want to help you choose the boiler that’s right for you and your home. Our boiler quote tool can help you to make an informed decision, but if you need a little more help, just talk to one of our knowledgeable customer service team by calling 03456 47 47 47.
